Copyright Policy

MovieHunt AI respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), and other applicable laws.

This policy describes how copyright owners can report alleged infringement, how affected users can file a counter-notice, and how we handle repeat infringers. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

If you believe content on MovieHunt AI infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated copyright agent. To be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512), your notice must include all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including the URL or other information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
4. Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Knowingly submitting a materially false DMCA notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Upon receiving a valid copyright infringement notice, we will:

• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously.
• Notify the user who submitted the content that it has been removed, including the reasons for the removal and information about how to file a counter-notice.
• Maintain a record of the notice for our repeat infringer policy.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before it was removed.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or their agent.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not notify us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we will restore the removed material within 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice.

We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been the subject of three or more valid copyright takedown notices. Account termination under this policy is permanent.

We may also terminate accounts with fewer than three notices in cases of egregious or willful infringement at our sole discretion.

If you are located in the European Union, you may also report copyright infringement through the content reporting procedure described in our Terms of Service (Section 8: Content Moderation & Reporting). The DSA notice-and-action process and the DMCA process operate in parallel — you may use either or both.
